RALF TECH OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE ÉCURIE ALPINE
Car racing demands harsh performance to both men and machines. This challenge has been part of the brand's DNA, as RALF TECH has made itself known to the general public thanks to timepieces with an affirmed character that can withstand extreme conditions.
In automotive and watchmaking precision and reliability are a leitmotiv. Such requirements are applicable without a doubt to machines of the ALPINE team and to the movements of RALF TECH watches.
At the heart of these machines is a primordial beating heart, which is the centre of the machine itself. In the car we talk about the engine while in a watch the Balance Spring is the centre of the movement. In both cases this major organ will give all the precision and the soul to the product.
Because of their great technical nature, these parts must be strongly protected from any stress. This is why RALF TECH uses an Incablocs® system that protects the movement of any shock or vibration. The suspension system of a competition vehicle fulfills the same role. Without these parts, it would be impossible to take full advantage of the capability of these machines.
In both cases all the power is transmitted through a single piece. The escapement for the watch and the crankshaft for the automobile. They are closest to the heart of the machine and play a major role in the proper functioning of the product.
All these precautions would be of no use without a body or a watch case working in perfect harmony with these internal elements.
The aesthetics of RALF TECH watches and ALPINE vehicles is a compromise between elegance and performance. Each of the parts has its utility, the superfluous being the enemy of efficiency.
RALF TECH watches are designed to be robust and resistant to any weather and environmental stress.
Automotive and watchmaking have common objectives. Timepieces and automotive design concepts have many similarities in architecture as well as in operation.
In 2013, 35 years after his last victory at the 24H of Le Mans, the "Ecurie Tricolor" returns to the top of the podium. Last time ALPINE was there was in 1978.
RALF TECH was already a partner of the drivers Nelson Panciatici, Pierre Ragues racing for SIGNATECH ALPINE team during the 2013 season of Sport Prototype; We decided, in agreement with the team, to get more involved in the project ALPINE and to partner again with the team and its cars throughout the 2014 endurance season.
Our common vision then was to materialize by a first podium at the 24H of Le Mans and a global title of WEC European Champion !
